Organically Natural Permanent Eyebrows

Marie, a client/friend wears her brows without a stitch of makeup. I observe how organically natural they look as she expresses herself in conversation. Imagine or look at yourself having no brows. I'm so happy she doesn't give these Tattooed Brows a second care. They are a natural extension of her being. They will last many years. With Christmas and other Cultural Holidays coming up, ask your husband, significant other for the GIFT that makes you happy every day and saves you precious time. … [Read more...]

Undereye Cover-up and Creme to Powder Base

When Reva came in last week to darken her tattooed eyebrows, I told her the color was perfect as is for her coloring. So, we talked make-up. For summer, I recommended my “No. 2 Creme to Powder Base” which goes on like butter and transforms to a soft powdery finish. I applied the base on the right side of Vera's face for comparison. I like how it totally erased her reddish skin tone revealing softness at the same time. Under both eyes I patted my creamy “Undereye Coverup” in neutral. I then … [Read more...]

Permanent Make-up is Challenging and Gratifying

Permanent make-up is challenging and gratifying. And fun. Establishing a relationship with new clients is satisfying. Catching up with clients whom I have not seen for years is always renewing, and I get to feel that connection that began way back when. For this client, I am using a mixture of a 10-needle microblade manual pen with assistance of my electric rotary machine. Color pigments are a mix of taupe and pale brown since I am working with warm undertones. The client is very happy … [Read more...]

Happy Brows Using a Manual Microblade Pen

Just finished tweaking these happy brows using a manual microblade pen. This is a four week follow-up to see the final results. I added extra strokes where needed. I have a very satisfied client from Frederick, MD whose husband surprised her with a Gift Certificate for Christmas. He downloaded the certificate, printed it and paid for it all online. Technology has come a long way. But doing the actual tattooing of micro-pigmentation is void of high tech maneuvers, but is totally reliant on … [Read more...]

Natural Permanent Eyeliner

Before I begin applying permanent eyeliner, I evaluate hair, skin and eye color. My client is of neutral coloring with low contrast. She wanted a very natural look and that's what she got. I was happy my client didn't swell much. Some swelling is normal afterwards. She will apply a very cold compress for five seconds and then lift off so it normalizes temperature. Because I used the thinnest needles, the pigment is applied just under the skin so you don't want to over ice the area. In … [Read more...]
